It was fitting that Gail Kim retired in Bound For Glory 2017, winning her last-ever Knockouts title, because ten years prior at the same event, she won her first-ever Knockouts title. Not only this, but she was also the inaugural winner of the title, winning a ten-woman gauntlet match for the title.
It speaks volumes that TNA chose her to be the inaugural champion as the showed a lot of trust in her. It paid off as she remained a committed employee and was one of the best representatives of the Knockouts title.
