1. Batista vs. The Undertaker (WWE WrestleMania 23)
This was Batista’s greatest in-ring accomplishment. In 2007, The Streak meant everything. The streak, in case you’re a new reader, refers to The Undertaker’s undefeated streak at WrestleMania. At this time, he stood at 14-0 and this would be his first championship victory in 5 years.
However, it was important for The Undertaker to have a major Superstar to dethrone in this position. Batista was the perfect young lion to slay. Batista at this point had not been defeated for the World Heavyweight Championship and he took the Undertaker to the absolute limit including an amazing running powerslam through an announce table. This was the definitive match of this WrestleMania and easily the best Batista match on the grandest stage. Combine that with the legacy of The Streak, and you have a modern-day classic. To be honest, this entire list could have been filled with his rivalry with the Undertaker because it was one of the best rivalries of the ruthless aggression era and maybe the rivalry of 2007.
