#3.) w/ Chris Benoit vs Triple H & ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin – RAW 2001
One of the greatest matches in Monday Night RAW history saw the unlikely pairing of Chris Jericho and Chris Benoit attempt to stop the Two Man Power Trip of Steve Austin and Triple H. This is one example of how a crowd can make a match. It was the Attitude Era crowd at their hottest and they weren’t silent for a second.
The match started with a massive brawl outside the ring and things got heated during the match. The infamous incident of the match saw Triple H tear his quads, but somehow continue on, proving how tough he really was. If that weren’t enough, he even took the Walls of Jericho on the announce table. He completed the match and lost the titles to Benoit and Jericho, who scored a huge underdog upset victory. Triple H was out of action until January 2002.
