#3.) A place for historic debuts
We’ve seen several classic Survivor Series moments through the years but what often goes overlooked is the fact that it’s been the PPV that’s seen some of the greatest debuts in WWE history. For starters, 1990’s Survivor Series saw the debut of The Undertaker. Six years later, a young upstart named Rocky Maivia debuted, winning the match for his team at Survivor Series. You may know him as none other than The Great One – The Rock.
Three years afterward in 1999, the Olympic Gold Medalist Kurt Angle had his moment, having an impressive singles display against Shawn Stasiak. In Survivor Series 2012, The Shield made one of the most impactful debuts in WWE history. The three superstars would go on to lead the New Era from 2014-15, becoming the top singles stars of the company.
If there’s a debut at Survivor Series in the future, we might know beforehand that it’s the start of something special.
