#5.) Beating Jeff Jarrett at Bound For Glory

In 2006, Sting was chasing Jeff Jarrett in an attempt to win the NWA World Heavyweight Championship, a title that he first won 16 years prior. His initial attempt at the title was spoilt thanks to Christian Cage, who turned on him by hitting him with Jarrett’s guitar.

Sting was willing to go through hell and back for the title and Jarrett accepted his challenge for another match on the condition that he put his entire career on the line. The build to the match was fantastic and he debuted an interesting hybrid look. It was the biggest match of his career in many years and the stakes couldn’t have been any higher.

This time around, ‘The Icon’ defeated Jarrett to claim his second-ever NWA World Heavyweight Championship. It had been around 7 years since he had seen a World title.
