#4.) Harley Race
Harley Race hasn’t gotten enough credit for making Flair the star that he became. It was 1983 in NWA and Ric Flair was the up-and-coming babyface who was fresh off a world title win. Race would dethrone Ric Flair and it would become the hottest feud of 1983 as Race even offered a $25,000 bounty for anyone willing to take out the young up and comer.
It all culminated inside a steel cage match at Starrcade 83, where Flair defeated Race to become NWA World Champion again. It was an official passing of the torch moment and Flair would carry it and become one of the greatest world champions in wrestling history.
