“She was mine before she was yours”. Ric Flair’s feud with Randy Savage in 1992 was personal and it was nasty. Flair claimed that he was lovers with Miss Elizabeth in the past, going so far as to doctor images to make them look real. Of course, it was all an attempt to get inside Randy Savage’s head and their feud would last for most of 1992.
The feud brought out a side of Savage that had never been seen before. We had seen him as a nasty heel but at his most vulnerable, he was cornered and fought back, defending the honor of his wife Miss Elizabeth.
The first half of their feud would see Savage dethrone Flair to become WWE Champion at WrestleMania VIII. That was one of Flair and Savage’s best matches. Flair would later win back the WWE Championship, becoming a 2-time champion.
