#1.) The conclusion of the Steamboat-Flair trilogy
Ricky Steamboat and Ric Flair had the most incredible trilogy of matches in pro wrestling history, period. Steamboat had beaten Flair for the NWA world Championship and controversially retained it in a 2-out-3 falls match. The third and final bout of their trilogy at WrestleWar 1992 saw Ric Flair’s finest hour as he and Steamboat had a war – physical, psychological and emotional.
This match alone turned Ric Flair babyface and he won the title back to a roaring ovation. It was at that moment that fans knew that Ric Flair as champion just felt right. Ricky Steamboat proved to be his greatest adversary.
