#5.) Paul Heyman brought him to the United States
It’s no secret that Paul Heyman has a special eye for talent. Long before the emphasis of international superstars, Heyman had a great scouting ability and Rey Mysterio was one of his finest signings. He had brought luchadors over to ECW to give the American audience a taste of their high-flying and fast-paced style. He signed Mysterio from AAA in 1995 and Mysterio would have a short but memorable run with ECW, where he feuded with Psicosis and Juventud Guerrera.
Soon after that, Mysterio got an offer from WCW, where he had a run for a few years before being signed for WWE. If there’s anyone to indirectly thank for Mysterio in WWE, it’s Paul Heyman!
