#4.) Ending DIY – NXT Takeover Chicago I
In a move that stunned the NXT Universe, Tommaso Ciampa turned on Johnny Gargano at the end of NXT Takeover: Chicago after their defeat to The Authors of Pain. It was a dreaded but inevitable moment. Gargano and Ciampa were soaking in the crowd’s appreciation and it seemed like the show was about to go off the air as the trademark logo was displayed at the end of the show.
This turned out to be masterful trickery from WWE’s part and it took everyone by surprise. Ciampa launched a vicious assault on Gargano, instantly making him the single most hated heel in wrestling. Unfortunately, he ruptured his ACL during the match, which meant he would be out for around eight months after surgery.
