#5.) The Cruiserweight Classic opener
Tommaso Ciampa was put up against none other than his DIY Tag Team partner Johnny Gargano in the first-round of the Cruiserweight Classic. Many thought that the match would affect their partnership. The two held absolutely nothing back in the first round of the tournament. Hard-hitting, fast-paced and intensity marked one of the best matches of the entire tournament.
After the match, it looked like Ciampa was ready to snap at Gargano. But instead, he sat down and Gargano sat beside him and the two embraced in unity. If anything, the match only helped them grow stronger. Ciampa teasing a break up was something that was constantly teased all the way until May of 2017.
