After “departing” from WWE when losing to Eddie Guerrero (Big Show actually needed time to get surgery and recover), Big Show chokeslammed then-SmackDown General Manager Kurt Angle onto a ledge and made him bleed. When he returned, he would begin a feud with Angle, being a babyface this time around.
It was an interesting period of time as Big Show was at his peak popularity while Angle was one of the most despised heels in the company. The feud also saw Kurt Angle shave Big Show’s head bald, a look he would stick with for the rest of his career.
