In 2006, The Big Show was revealed to be the latest addition to the ECW roster. At One Night Stand, he attacked Tajiri, Super Crazy, and The Full Blood Italians, officially turning heel again. He would then beat Rob Van Dam for the ECW Championship at Philadelphia, the home of the original brand.
As you would expect, The Big Show got nuclear heat for pinning the ECW original. It was Paul Heyman who assisted The Big Show in winning the title as there was nearly a riot. Big Show would officially become the first non-ECW original to capture the title.
