John Cena’s United States Open Challenge in 2015 was one of the most exciting things about RAW at the time. It gave the younger and newer superstars a platform to wrestle with the biggest star in the company and make a name for themselves. Perhaps the biggest beneficiary of this was Cesaro, who answered Cena’s open challenge in July 2015.
Cesaro had a career-making match with John Cena. Not only were they given a lot of time, but Cesaro was given the opportunity to showcase just how good he really is. This was a turning point for his career and despite losing, his popularity and stock was at its highest. A large group of fans realized how good Cesaro is and rallied behind him.
John Cena even gave him an endorsement after RAW, telling him that big things were coming for him in the future.
