A good two years before they wound up together as a tag team, Cesaro had taken on Sheamus in an attempt to capture the United States Championship. It was here that the two proved to have natural chemistry with each other as they stole the show very early on in the night.
Ultimately, it wasn’t to be for Cesaro as Sheamus proved to be the better man. However, little did either of them know that just 24 months later, they would find themselves in another rivalry with each other, this time ending up as a dominant tag team.
