#3.) Royal Rumble (2012)

In late 2011, Sheamus was one of the superstars who was low-key picking up a lot of momentum. Going on quite a hot streak, he won match after match, setting him up for a huge opportunity at the Royal Rumble. He entered at 22nd and would have a stand-off with WWE legend Chris Jericho in the final two.

In another unexpected move, Sheamus would eliminate Jericho to pick up a Royal Rumble victory, something that no one thought he would ever do. He used his opportunity to face Daniel Bryan for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania and he beat Bryan in a shocking 18-second match. Though Bryan would benefit off the controversial match in the long run, Sheamus still had a strong 6-month world title reign.
