The SmackDown Tag Team Championship match at Clash Of Champions 2017 was a very important one for Rusev. It was the first time that the crowd truly got behind him in every sense, with the entire arena chanting “Rusev Day!” as he was in the ring. It was the start of his eventual babyface turn that would take place eight months afterward.
The Fatal-4-Way match was everything you would expect it to be – fast-paced, chaotic, action-packed and all round entertaining. It was the perfect PPV opener and The Usos narrowly walked out still SmackDown Tag Team Champions.
