Finn Balor vs. Bray Wyatt
The Demon will not be appearing at No Mercy, as a “Man to Man” match is announced between Balor and Wyatt. Again, this has been repeated over and over but this feud is not doing a lot for me. WWE RAW did have Balor and Wyatt work well Monday, with Falor talking about the man who created The Demon. I hated how Wyatt laughed, though. He needs to be intimidated at times and never really shows that side of him. It would help his character overall if he did. Their match at SummerSlam was underwhelming, but I think Bray Wyatt needs to win this match. There are too many heels that continuously lose and Wyatt needs another win. Finn is and will be over, win or lose.
The outcome of this match will be meaningless. Neither are close to being in the main event. Neither are realistic opponents for Lesnar or Strowman. Both men SHOULD be viable opponents for The Miz and should be. I would rather see them utilized like this instead of being paired together because creative has nothing else for them.
Fatal Five Way
I wish WWE RAW would have had the one woman that seems to have no chance get the upper hand. Emma was nowhere to be seen and was said to still be home in Australia. She gets completely overshadowed by the returning Bayley, who gets placed in the championship match at No Mercy. Man, a Bayley turn on Sasha here would have been sweet and really intriguing to me. She comes back to her home crowd, but will she get the same reaction in Los Angeles? I highly doubt that, as Nia Jax and Alexa Bliss seem to be getting the most cheers as of late.
Who wins and why? Alexa steals a win. She just recaptured the championship a little less than a month ago and an established champion would make it so much sweeter when Asuka comes and dominates the division. I would prefer Asuka vs.Bliss or Asuka vs. Banks for her first feud. Nia Jax would be my second option, but they would’ve given her the title already if they wanted her to carry the division. She should have been champion and I am not completely ruling her out, but it seems like they would go against the grain giving her the title. Whoever wins in this bout is only keeping it warm for “The Empress of Tomorrow.”
