Isenberg Reacts: WWE RAW “Massive Main Event Preludes a New Champion”

Adding Nia and Emma is a Good Decision

Nia Jax and Emma earned their way into a championship match at No Mercy, when Nia hit a huge lepdrop and Emma stole the pin. This tag team match was average, but the outcome was much better. You want to see more women get opportunities at championships and these two are deserving of it. When you see what Smackdown Live has done, WWE RAW has done the opposite. They haven’t taken chances in this division and haven’t really given us more than one women’s feud. The interactions between Jax and Bliss always entertain me and an addition of Emma keeps things fresh. I am over the Sasha vs. Alexa over and over and over again. Happening twice in as many weeks makes things become very predictable, so this was a positive.

Braun and Big Show Do It Again

Braun Strowman vs. Big Show main event WWE RAW, on a week where he do not see or hear from Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman. The main event was NOT what I expected, which was a great thing. Big Show wow’ed the crowd with a flying elbow drop off the top rope, but it was more about Strowman handling all the beating and then connecting with a massive powerslam to pick up the win. He would put an exclamation point on Big Show by driving him through the side of the steel cage. Braun stands tall on WWE RAW to end the night, another time where Big Show and Braun got people talking.

I have bashed Big Show time and time again over the years. More of his booking than personal shots, but Strowman and Show are just damn fun to watch. Two men that weight closer to 400 than 300, they hit big moves and kept the interest of the crowd. We knew the winner and the outcome, but the big spots are a constant reminder that Braun is ready. A round of applause for Big Show, as the 45 year old has surpassed everything I thought he had left.

Braun Strowman is ready to beat Brock Lesnar. Tonight is ANOTHER showcase of that, winning over the Omaha crowd and getting everyone talking about him.
