Isenberg Reacts: Previewing SummerSlam From The Smackdown Live Side

The WWE United States Championship match has all the ingredients for a main-event, show stealing match. With Shane McMahon in the middle of everything, Styles vs. Owens should be an excellent contest of athleticism, drama and technicality. We know what to expect in the ring between the two men, but what happens when you bring Shane McMahon in? Special Referees at SummerSlam, or any night really, rarely call the match right down the middle. SO, how do they book this match?

I would love WWE to have these guys go 25 minutes, with Shane McMahon ultimately costing Kevin Owens the championship. I feel that both men will accidentally strike Shane McMahon and he will retaliate and only strike Kevin Owens. This leads to AJ Styles getting the upper hand, retaining the championship and Shane McMahon planting the seeds even further in the dirt for a Owens vs. Shane feud. With the WWE Network pumping out so many Pay-Per-Views, Shane and Owens would be a main event worthy match at Hell in a Cell or Survivor Series. Either way, this match will be so damn good.

Currently, Josh Isenberg works for Major League Baseball in their Advanced Media Productions. He grew up in Pittsburgh and went to Point Park University, which is where Chair Shot Reality is filmed each week.
His life outside of his obsession with wrestling include being a savant for Seinfeld, NFL, NBA, MLB and many television shows. He also has an undying love for musicals, which includes many shows he was a part of in high school. Some of his favorite wrestling moments can be linked to such superstars as Edge, The Rock, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels and The Great Khali.
