Finn Balor Mocks Bray Wyatt
Bray Wyatt arrived on Raw and cut another promo, this time talking about the fans of Finn and saying that the Bálor Club are a bunch of sheep following a “shell of a man that never was.”
The lights went out and Bray turned to the stage, but Finn had his back to Wyatt in the ring. Bray looks to attack, but Finn hits a hit to send Wyatt to the outside. Wyatt escapes without any other damage to his body.
As much as I am excited to see Finn Balor and Bray Wyatt fight at SummerSlam, I do wonder if WWE simply said “we have nothing for these guys, so let’s throw them together.” Wyatt is slowing discussing how Finn is not a man, which is an easy turn for him to become the “Demon King.” It is inevitable that he will appear at SummerSlam with the paint, but I do want WWE to hold off until the go-home show to tease any mention or background of his second persona. Draw it out. Lastly, please let Wyatt wrestle more. His speeches all sound the same these days.
Elias Drifts Away From Importance
Even though I am still a big fan of what Elias is doing, I thought tonight was a step back. He had brief trouble against Kalisto and then picked up the win with his “Drift Away” finisher. He goes from being involved in a feud with Finn Balor to now facing a guy like Kalisto. I would have loved to see Elias cut a promo and have someone of meaning come out and face off against him. Even continuing a match or two with Balor gives him more of an important role on the show instead of what some could consider a bathroom break.
