Isenberg Reacts: WWE RAW “Yes To Fatal Four Way, Yes to SummerSlam So Far”

Jason Jordan’s Debut and Cruiserweight Action

Going from a smile to anger in a matter of seconds, Jason Jordan made quick work of Curt Hawkins. A few suplexes and then his finisher, which looks impressive, Jason Jordan is 1-0 on WWE RAW. I expect much more from him, but this happy gimmick he has right now might backfire in a potential face run. Watch out for the next 6 weeks and see a change in attitude if the fans do not respond back accordingly. Luckily, the dude is one hell of a wrestler. Not so much an actor, however.

Daivari seems to be the next man up in a potential opportunity at the King of the Cruiserweights. He attached Tozawa and Neville, leaving both men face down on the mat. I would love to sit in a meeting for this division and see if there are any good ideas that come about. It is a carousel that not many people care about. It is a damn shame that these talented guys get very little to work with and very little depth in their characters. I am not sure I care deeply enough about anyone on the roster aside from Neville.

Bayley vs. Sasha Banks

WWE RAW gave us a Number One Contender’s Match for Alexa Bliss and her championship at WWE SummerSlam. From a technician start to an all out fight, Bayley and Sasha put their friendship behind and began to attack one another with anger and intensity. A swift kick almost ended Bayley’s night, but she was able to fight back. Sasha missed flying knees, Bayley hit a running knee and Sasha connected with a Shining Wizard. Up top, both women fought out of a superplex attempt with Bayley hitting stomach first. A Frog Splash looked to be the end, but Bayley reversed it into a pinfall of her own and will get the chance to fight Alexa Bliss.

I really liked this match, even though the win for Bayley surprised me. If anything, Brooklyn is as close to her hometown as possible and WWE is trying to reignite that fire in the Barclays Center to help her get back to where she was a year ago. It is a smart idea and I hope it works out. The next few weeks need to be more about Bayley’s attitude and intensity picking up notch after notch. Make her edgy in her offense in the ring and what she says. You cannot have her keep saying “this is my dream, this is what i live for.” We get it.
