Isenberg Reacts: WWE Smackdown Live “Not So Fabulous Decision From Daniel Bryan”

Jinder Mahal vs. Luke Harper

Smackdown Live ended with a main event between Jinder Mahal and Luke Harper. As much as I enjoy Luke Harper in the ring, this was an odd pairing to main event after Money in the Bank. With the champion on the ropes, Mahal turned up the offense. At that time, Baron Corbin’s music hit and distracted the champion. Harper hit a spinning clothesline and got an extremely close two count. Jinder was able to survive, hitting his finisher and not having to worry about Baron Corbin. He did, however, have to worry about Randy Orton.

Orton came out and attacked The Singh Brothers. A few RKO’s sent a strong message and Mahal was able to escape without harm.

Randy vs. Jinder isn’t over and I understand it. I just do not love the idea of them continuing this as a main event match for the third Pay-Per-View in a row. If they do, there needs to be some sort of stipulation. Also, with Smackdown Live having a ton of controversies, how is this not addressed yet? Why hasn’t Shane or Daniel interrupted this feud and made some stipulation for them? If anything, add a gimmick at WWE Battleground to at least make it different from what we have seen over the past 2 months.

Smackdown Live was solid, but WHERE WAS MIKE AND MARIA KANELLIS? How in the hell do you not have mention of them 2 days after their debut on WWE and the Smackdown Live brand? This made absolutely no sense to me and was a complete letdown. If anything, at least mention or hype them for next week. That would be the absolute least they could do, but they could not even do that. A very perplexing decision made by the writing team and they could have carved out 3-5 minutes on Smackdown to spotlight a pair that could really make some noise and be different.
