Isenberg Reacts: WWE RAW “Too Many Lows And Not Enough Highs”

Samoa Joe vs. Seth Rollins

As WWE RAW concluded with a main event between Seth Rollins and Samoa Joe, one has to think about how you build Joe in the ring as a threat. He can talk all he wants and prove that he is intimidating that way, but his booking needs to be decisive. Tonight was almost decisive, with Wyatt’s blackout happening before Samoa Joe made Seth Rollins pass out to the Coquina Clutch. These two men, fighting for the past few months, have a natural chemistry in the ring and a feud that stems from a real-life concern. Joe needed to make Seth pass out and not win with something dirty. Yes, heels win dirty, but Joe is not a normal heel. He is the heel that is trying to slay the beast.

WWE RAW was really good for about an hour and 20 minutes. It was below average for the rest. The main event was something we have seen numerous times, but it still was entertaining to watch. Next week is when everything changes. Brock Lesnar is back and I hope they let Lesnar appear in more than one segment. Have a bit of physicality between the two, but I would love to see an angry Lesnar tear through some mediocre talent backstage on his way to getting in the face of Samoa Joe.
