Isenberg Reacts: WWE RAW “The Samoan Destroyer Silences Doubters”

How Samoa Joe Became Important

Samoa-Joe-RAW-Debut

It is no secret that Samoa Joe has not been used to his fullest potential since coming to WWE RAW. Debuting on WWE RAW in February, he was unable to find a spot on the WrestleMania card, but became more of Triple H’s hired hand. Not that this is not a good spot for him, but his feud with Seth Rollins is more about the rebuilding of Rollins instead of the development of Samoa Joe.

WWE RAW gave Samoa Joe the beginning and the end of the show to prove his worth, to prove his dominance. From his early show attacks to being in the main event and making Seth Rollins pass out, Samoa Joe proved to everyone that he should be booked as a destroyer and not as a dud. He needs to win and win more than he loses. That can be said for everyone, but we need a big victory for Samoa Joe if we really want him to thrive on the red brand.

The tag team main event was really good, especially since they let the heels really control the offense. From Bray’s unique attacks to Samoa Joe’s spinning kicks and ground and pound tactics, this was a smart decision to let them win. Roman does not need the win. Seth does not need the win. Bray and Joe, who have a combined ZERO wins at WrestleMania and ONE World Championship reign, needed to get over on guys who have already been established by the general crowd and the marks that are out there.

Samoa Joe is 6’2 and 282 pounds. Brock Lesnar is 6’3 and 295 pounds. This is the closest to finding a real opponent for Brock Lesnar that could ACTUALLY beat him and suspend our belief enough. Is it the sexiest pick?

No. Sometimes, logic should overcome the doubters who feel they NEED to see Finn vs. Brock or some other opponent for Lesnar.

Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns and Bray Wyatt : none of these men NEED a match against Brock Lesnar to solidify their status in WWE.
