Vicious Attacks on WWE RAW
The ongoing feud with Seth Rollins and Samoa Joe feels real. It feels like both men hate each other and that Seth Rollins has a target on his knee. Samoa Joe is going to continue to get better, but I am already concerned that he is not winning any matches. Some characters are okay with losing matches left and right, only to come back stronger and more intense. Samoa Joe has that…for now. What happens when his vicious attacks, like the one we saw on WWE RAW Monday night, are being repeated over and over again? Will WWE have something for him to do? His gimmick is very basic, which is not a bad thing. They just need to make sure that they give him what he needs to be viewed as championship material. Why? Because he is.
Seth Rollins continues to get the support from the crowd. There needs to be more. This feud needs some sort of importance to it. Aside from hatred, all they are doing is attacking each other blind sided. WWE Extreme Rules should feature them in a cage match. No Hell in a Cell is needed for this type of feud, but how about they bring some sort of importance back to a cage? Hey, it might not matter but at least it is an effort. When they are both done with one another, what will be the ultimate outcome? Will it be who is next to face Brock Lesnar? Will it be next to face Finn Balor? WHY do we care who wins this is my biggest question.
Braun and The Big Dog
This is the feud that people care about. Whether you love or hate Roman Reigns, you care about seeing what happens to him next. He attacked Braun Strowman, who is nursing an arm injury. Chair shot to the shoulder and arm seemingly get the crowd to react even hotter than usual. Strowman finally escapes through the crowd, selling the arm injury like he just got shot. Great acting and some vulnerability from a guy who has dominated everyone in his path.
His injury is real, according to multiple sources. Ryan Satin broke the news first, of ProWrestlingSheet.com and this could not have come at a worse time. The momentum for Braun has been great. I do wonder, however, if this could benefit him. It will take him off television until at least the middle of June and we all know that Brock Lesnar is not defending his championship until July. Hell, I think Brock vs. Roman could be Great Balls of Fire, with a potential Triple Threat to headline SummerSlam. All three men deserve that shot and you can give Braun as much time as possible to heal. I do think that pop, when he returns, will be great and immediately put both men on notice.
As for now, we have to see what happens with Roman Reigns and his next feud. Where does he go from here? Also, how will WWE continue to book shows around NOT having the Universal Champion for extended periods of time.
