Alexa Bliss Becomes Number One Contender
There might not be a more believable woman on the WWE RAW women’s roster than Alexa Bliss. She plays her part to perfection, getting out of the way of potential harm and avoiding Nia Jax at all costs. This was on display Monday night in Columbus (her hometown) as she worked some offense but was able to duck and dive away when trouble was brewing. Alexa picked up the win and will face Bayley at WWE Payback. If I am WWE, I let Alexa win this match. Bringing a former champion over from the other show and having her lose her first championship match does not have much logic behind it. I am not sure WWE is ready to turn Sasha Banks heel, so let Alexa and Bayley feud for a few months until we potentially get a June or July Sasha heel turn. At that point, WWE will be in a comfortable spot with their women and hopefully not hurt as much by losing Charlotte.
After Alexa and Bayley, I would really enjoy seeing Nia team and help Alexa for a while. Let that team reconnect and then ultimately have Nia feel like a face. Look at what they have done with Braun, someone much stronger than the rest of his opponents. If not forced, the crowd will begin to appreciate Jax and her raw strength in the ring.
What is going on With Finn?
Finn defeats Curt Hawkins with four quick moves. Was this the safest match you have ever seen? What was the point of this? WWE has Bray vs. Finn coming up in two weeks, so why would you not have a few video packages for Balor instead of squash matches like this? We was a Universal Champion before his injury. Let Finn work with the top talent, guys like Joe, Rollins, Jericho and even Miz. There can be just a normal match with him and these elevated guys to help their feuds, as well as adding the weekly Bray video.
Tonight was good to see his entrance and that is about it for him. He is too talented for this waste of a segment.
