The Shock of WrestleMania 33

With The New Day hosting WrestleMania 33, one of their biggest surprises had nothing to do with them. Instead, they announced another team entering the RAW Tag Team Championships. That team was Matt and Jeff Hardy, who came to WrestleMania 33 with the biggest reaction of the night. It is really unbelievable how they have gotten even bigger and better since they left WWE. Recreating a tag team with a few chants and a few new moves.

The Hardy Boys won the RAW Tag Team Championships. Yes, you read that correctly. For the first time in recent memory, I was legit shocked and awed by the reaction, the match and the outcome. A Swanton through a ladder from Jeff and Matt climbed the ladder to retrieve the championship.

Thank God that WWE got this right and got their return scripted to absolute perfection.

Bray Wyatt vs. Randy Orton

The WWE World Championship match was unique to say the least. During the match, the lights went out a few times and graphics appeared in the ring with worms and dirt.  The remains of Sister Abigail seemed to overtake much of the match, but the psychology was really good. Tonight was more about the continued rebuilding of Randy Orton. Whether you love it or hate it, Randy Orton is more marketable than Bray Wyatt. Personally, this was the most surprising outcome of the night for me. Does WWE think that Wyatt is too much for the WWE World Championship?

Randy Orton still looks great in the ring and I am excited to see both of these men continue to work together. I do think we get a few stipulation matches with the two men, culminating in June or July. They can do still so much, add more pieces to the feud and continue to make sure that everything they have done with Bray is not completely squashed.

A great match thatthe beginning of the Seth Rollins championship push. At first, the crowd was a little tired. After, they got rolling with chants for the man from Davenport, Iowa. Ring psychology between these two men were off the charts and it was more of a wrestling match than I expected. The knee, the reversals and the ultimate ending was when Stephanie McMahon took a bump through the table and Rollins hit a Pedigree for the win. Great match and a strong reminder that Triple H might go down as one of the best ever.
