Isenberg Reacts: WWE Smackdown Live “Styles and Shane Steal Smackdown Again”

Randy Is Caught Backstage

Randy Orton is backstage talking to Renee Young backstage and the lights go out. Randy is surrounded by men with masks on and is beaten down. Bray appears and talks about how he is reborn and thanks Randy Orton for that. He then looks at him and starts to sing “the whole world in his hands” and laughs at Randy Orton as the lights go back out.

More creativity, but can we please remember that he is the WWE World Champion. Make THAT as big of a story than Sister Abigail. I would have showcased the title, where the WWE World Championship title is all Randy asks for. Let Bray tease him with the title, much like Randy Orton teased Bray Wyatt with Sister Abigail. I am excited for the match, but they need that ONE big moment with a reminder that the title is what they are truly battling for.

Shane Ends Smackdown Live in Style

AJ Styles was waiting for Shane McMahon in the parking lot, but Shane somehow gets to the ring and calls out the former champion. AJ Styles comes out and says sorry that he attacked Shane McMahon last week and his emotions got the best of him. He wants to shake Shane’s hand, but Shane attacks him with lefts and rights. They spill to the outside, which allows Shane to get the upper hand. Shane hits an elbow drop from the top rope through the announce table. Shane ends the night walking away.

Classic Shane McMahon. An elbow drop to get the people buzzing and very reminiscent of last year’s feud. He needs to be the guy that will do anything to win and this gets me excited. McMahon’s do not work with just anyone at WrestleMania. Whether it was Vince or Shane, they worked with some of the best that WWE has ever had. From Hogan to Michaels, Undertaker to Styles, all of these guys are hall of famers or going to be. That is an exclusive list of great talent who were the beneficiaries of a feud with a McMahon. This feud has everything you want, from a disgruntled employee to a boss who wants the spotlight. The personal conflict is there and has been for months. They have done a great job at not rushing everything and let it grow naturally.

This is the most stacked WrestleMania card from top to bottom and next week’s show can be the cherry on top of many interesting feuds.
