Smackdown Live Women’s Championship Contenders
Alexa Bliss, Natalya, Becky Lynch and Mickie James are all in the ring. All want an opportunity to fight Alexa Bliss at WrestleMania, but Bliss dismisses all of them. She bashes Becky and Natalya, but out comes Daniel Bryan. He announces that she will fight every available Smackdown Live woman at WrestleMania. It seems very open-ended which is not a bad thing. My idea would be these four women in a fatal four way for the Smackdown Live Women’s Championship. There is not a need to add Carmella or other women, but the health of Naomi is still up in the air. Either way, I like the idea of giving multiple women the chance to fight Alexa because they do have depth. They have much more realistic depth than the RAW Women’s roster.
The tag team match that ensued showed Natalya hitting her teammate, Becky Lynch, which allowed Bliss to tag herself in and get the pin. Mickie James put everyone on notice when she kicked the champion. If you are going to have Mickie James at WrestleMania, let her be the other face with Lynch and let a really good heel persona in Natalya be second to the champion. However you book it in the next few weeks, make sure it is more entertaining than tonight. The match was sloppy, the timing was way off and Bliss tried her hardest to get everyone involved. They spoke over each other and the pace just seemed choppy and forced.
Dolph Ziggler, Mojo Rawley Interact
Mojo announces his involvement in the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal. Dolph cuts him off and talks about WrestleMania moments. Mojo takes a dig at the former world champion and Ziggler walks off. So, Dolph goes from a world championship match at SummerSlam to The Miz to a battle royal with a guy who wears zubaz pants. Man, this is ridiculous and sucks for Ziggler, a guy who never has had an opportunity to shine on the big stage. Very poor booking for him.
