The Wyatt Family’s Issues
A great tag team championship match pitted American Alpha against Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt on Smackdown Live. Randy Orton, able to overcome some suplexes from Jordan and Gable, was in control and hit a hanging DDT. This allowed him to set up for an RKO, but a miscommunication between him and Luke Harper gave Gable a chance to roll up The Viper and retain the Smackdown Live Tag Team Championships. After the match, Harper accidentally kicked Bray Wyatt, which infuriated him and had him separate both men before walking out on them.
The feud seems to be around Randy Orton and Luke Harper, which I like. I am confused as to where this could potentially go. Both of these men deserve a shot at something great, but Bray Wyatt will always be the “leader” of the group. It seems as if WWE is building to WrestleMania, but will we get Randy Orton vs. Luke Harper at Elimination Chamber? Maybe, all three men will be involved in the chamber match and more chaos breaks loose. Either way, a great tag team match gives the Tuesday night show some interest in a storyline outside of titles.
My one concern is this: who would American Alpha feud with that is legitimate after The Wyatt Family?
Carmella and James Ellsworth
If you did not laugh at CJ Lunde, you have no personality. When Carmella got into the ring with a modern Mae Young, I could not help but burst out laughing. It was out of left field and random. The match was nothing to really brag about, but James Ellsworth continues to aid Carmella. At least Ellsworth is not involved in a world championship storyline and Carmella is good enough to carry a small and meaningless storyline to make it funny and unique. There is no importance to this, but I am not complaining with them trying to make Ellsworth and Carmella a thing.
