It needed to take two men to defeat Roman Reigns for the United States Championship. I love the idea of Chris Jericho becoming United States Champion because he has never held it. It also gives him more “street cred” in WWE as a champion now to the casual fans and opens up many options for a feud with Kevin Owens. I am worried that Kevin Owens might drop the Universal Championship and then feud with Chris Jericho for the United States Championship. Not that it wouldn’t be entertaining, but I think everyone feels that these two guys have carried RAW (for the most part) since being a team together. They continue to be in main events, give us funny and interesting segments and deserve to be at the helm heading into WrestleMania.
Time will tell, but do not be surprised if Roman Reigns dropping this title means they are going in another direction for Orlando. If they do decide to go with Roman Reigns, there are going to be some angry people out there.
