Plenty of Unknowns
Plenty of talent in NXT have come from TNA and one of the main players was Eric Young. Eric Young is leading Sanity, a group of misfit grungy superstars who are attacking everyone in their sights. With Young at the head and Cross potentially being someone to battle for an NXT Women’s Championship in 2017, this group can be really good. Since there is not really a mid card title to battle for, what should Eric Young do?
There are a lot of talented guys to compete with, but he needs to find the right one. Would No Way Jose be an option, giving the NXT fans a chance to see him evolve as his character and do more than dance? What about Tye Dillinger? Coming off his feud with Bobby Roode, Dillinger is a fan favorite who has a chant that is filtering over to RAW and Smackdown Live. Whatever way they book Young, they need to get Young fast tracked to the main event by the summer of 2017. He is too good and his gimmick is too original to waste.
As for Tye Dillinger, is there any way he does NOT get the number 10 entrant into the Royal Rumble? Instead of a Curtis Axel, Bo Dallas or some other jamoke, give it to Dillinger and see what kind of reaction he gets. I bet the place explodes with chants and then WWE will have the option to see if he can work on RAW or Smackdown Live. He has a very similar Dolph Ziggler appeal to the crowd, so capitalize on his ability to connect with the Universe. I am all for “The Perfect Ten” to reach new heights in his career.
Lastly, what new faces will take place of the guys potentially leaving NXT? Will Ember Moon finally get a shot at Women’s gold? We have plenty of unknowns, but one thing we know is who the NXT Champion will face next.
