Ember Moon Continues To Roll
Ember Moon starts off with a monkey flip and some strikes to Lee. Lee is able to hit a side slam, followed by a submission hold. Ember Moon fights out of it and connects with a hurricanranna. After a few reversals, Moon rolls her up and gets a close count. Moon hits a front flip elbow strike, followed by the O-Face for the win.
As you can tell by the length of the match, Ember Moon continues to improve and pick up a much needed win. Yes, she is not ready for Asuka. Yes, she is still growing with the NXT Universe. I love her ability and her skills inside of the ring, but we need to connect with her on a personal level.
Instead of being booked like Apollo Crews, where athleticism and no personality defines her, make Moon more like Rich Swann or TJ Perkins. Let her excellent athleticism in the ring tell us what we need to know about her ability and continue to develop a unique character. Make her different than other women in the roster. Each woman needs to have her own persona and not simply generic. I want to see Ember Moon in a big spotlight soon, so maybe this slower build could actually help her.
