Isenberg Reacts: WWE RAW “Terrible Segments Overshadow Talented Superstars”

Does It Really Matter?

Cesaro picked up win number 2, a short week after picking his first win up when nobody saw it. He uses some cheating techniques to slide away with a victory, but does anyone care?

If WWE was so sure these guys could be main eventers, they would be. They are lost, stuck in a talent pool that is actually not that great. Yes, both men could benefit from being on Smackdown. Yes, Sheamus vs. Styles or Cesaro vs. Styles intrigues me a lot more than Dean Ambrose. We need to come to reality that they will have good matches, but THEY ARE MEANINGLESS in the long run. After this, where do both go? Back to the same old script.

Kevin Owens vs. Roman Reigns

This was excellent. A main event that continues to show you why Roman Reigns is placed in the spot that he is. I was concerned, no doubt, that Kevin Owens was going to lose clean to Reigns. This would have bothered me and made no realistic sense. Kevin Owens ends up getting the win, after multiple kick outs and pin fall attempts. How does he win? Rusev distracts Roman just long enough for Kevin Owens to hit his finisher and take out “The Guy.” Instead of having Roman Reigns placed into a match where he does not belong, WWE decides to make the right call and keep Rusev and Reigns going.

Both of these championship feuds are really solid. It makes Clash of the Champions something that you want to see and need to see. Backlash was needed to see because of new championships and AJ Styles. Clash has three championship matches that are going to please the fans. Seth Rollins and Kevin Owens should not end clean, should continue into the fall and ultimately have other pieces and stipulations involved. I want WWE to beware on making Kevin Owens too funny and witty to the crowd. You have a fresh face in Seth Rollins. Let him roll with that and have the fans behind him, not behind the “heel” champion.
