Dean Ambrose is Not World Championship Material

The main event of WWE Smackdown Live saw Dean Ambrose picks up a win in the main event against Baron Corbin. It was a decent match, with Corbin showcasing some much needed athleticism while Dean Ambrose works the mental game. What is wrong with Dean Ambrose? Why do I continue to not like his matches and his championship reign? I really wish I knew the answer. I think it is a combination of things.

Dean Ambrose is a good performer and fans cheer him. I do not want my champion to be a guy that looks normal and average. I do not need a Vince muscle man, but he does not wow me in any offensive moves he executes. His goofy persona is tacky more than lunatic. When he hung up AJ Styles on the rope, he should have attacked and not laughed. Dean Ambrose does not have an edge, which is ironic because of what they call him. Either way, I give him time and opportunities. Maybe Backlash can change my mind. If he cannot have a match of the night candidate with AJ Styles, he will never reach  “world champion material” in my mind.
