Isenberg Reacts: WWE RAW “Yes To Daniel Bryan, No To Two World Champions”

Rusev and Sheamus defeated Zack Ryder and Dolph Ziggler

Dolph Ziggler and Zack Ryder face a tough task in a former world champion and the Bulgarian Brute on RAW. My first problem was this: nobody really believes Zack Ryder will beat Rusev on Sunday. To help this, why wouldn’t you give him a clean win tonight? Why would you let Rusev and Sheamus pretty much dominate the night and not give the fans any reason to believe Ryder could walk out Sunday as United States Champion. Also, why was the hot tag to Dolph and not Zack?

Two World Champions

The main event of WWE Raw was for the WWE Championship between Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins. The match was strong, fast and really about their agility together. The ending was all you needed to know. A pinfall with both shoulders on the mat and an argument after about who is world champion. Well, it was announced on the WWE Network that Dean Ambrose retained, after Stephanie announced Seth as the new champion. It is not hard to see that both men have a right to be champion, which will prompt Dean drafted to Smackdown and Seth to RAW.

If they both are announced champion tonight, what happens on Sunday? It seems very anti-climactic from a fans perspective to end RAW like this and then announcing it on the WWE Network. I get the idea, but can’t WWE use the USA Network to their advantage. I mean, they are giving you FIVE LIVE HOURS of television. USA invests a lot into this and the ending just seemed very blah to me. There is no debating that WWE will go with two champions. It will happen and I am done bickering about it. If WWE really thinks it is necessary, who am I to argue? RIGHT? Wrong, I can argue about everything and anything. I get paid to do that. Make your world champion important. Make him go on both shows. There is no need for TWO. I want importance at the top, with ONE man. But, I get it. Two different shows and competition. I get the point they are trying to make with a new version of “WWE vs. WCW.” So, for that logic, I get it.

RAW: IC and Cruiserweight

Smackdown: US, Women’s

BOTH SHOWS: World Title, Tag Team.
