What To Do With Kalisto
Another week and another two paragraphs of me begging for a multi-man match at WrestleMania for Kalisto. It looks like Ryback will be involved somehow, which I am absolutely alright with. He can be your natural heel that everyone boos because they think he is overrated.
Similar to how Batista was booked, Ryback is at the top of his game and is no longer a liability in the ring. As for a match with him vs. Kalisto, I do not want that. I want more men involved. I would even take the “Fatal Five Way” type match. Why? You can make Ryback look even more like a monster if he beats four guys. If not, you can continue to develop Kalisto and have him overcome the odds, similar to how Rey Mysterio was booked. A one-on-one match does neither of these guys any good.
Y2AJ No More
Shirts were made. Tag Team was formed. Respect was earned. For a few weeks, Y2AJ was a thing. Luckily, it is no longer a thing. Yes, they have a FANTASTIC match against The New Day on Raw, but the forced tag team of Chris Jericho and AJ Styles reminded me of when Jericho teamed with The Miz or with Big Show. It did not feel right. It felt forced and felt like WWE lacked a creative angle for those guys. Instead. After a stellar tag team championship match which saw Big E hit his finisher on Jericho to retain, we finally got the heel Chris Jericho I have been waiting for.
There is a reason why Jericho has never been a face champion. He is too good and too smart to constantly be a face. His jokes are like Fuller House, nostalgic but not that funny. Styles and Jericho are seemingly on a path for another match at WrestleMania. While I wanted to add another layer to this feud, I do think that this is better than them competing as a tag team. Did Jericho/Michaels really need another person involved? No, but they also did not fight twice before. Nonetheless, this should be a great match at the grand stage. I just want the aggressive Y2J that we saw when he targeting HBK. Make Jericho ruthless.
