Divas Do Battle
Raw featured two matches with the lovely women of WWE. First, Summer Rae took on Brie Bella, but was quickly interrupted by Lana. Lana comes out in her jean skirt and top to distract Brie Bella. This lets Summer Rae pick up the win and Lana comes into the ring. She kicks Brie in the stomach and hits the X-Factor. She walks out.
Later in the night Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch took on Naomi and Tamina. Another quick contest, as Banks hit a backstabber into the Bank Statement for the win. Charlotte attacked both women and laid them out to end the segment.
Breaking down these segments are not hard, but are a bit confusing. What is Lana doing? She is wearing clothes that she wore when Dolph Ziggler was swooning her. Why? Why is she targeting Brie Bella out of nowhere? Too many illogical questions here with very little reasoning. As for Charlotte, an average night for her. Nothing crazy here aside from the champion dominating her opponents and taking both of them out. I do think that WWE needs to make her the heavy favorite based on her actions over the next month. You do not always have to make an even playing field heading into a championship match. We already have a feeling that it could be Sasha’s moment at WrestleMania 32. Let the next month really begin to have the fans question it. Make Charlotte into the female John Cena.
The League of Nations vs. Dolph Ziggler
Dolph Ziggler took on King Barrett, Sheamus and Rusev in a Handicap Match. Dolph took an early advantage by eliminating King Barrett with a superkick and then it was down to Sheamus and Rusev. Rusev was able to hit a kick to Ziggler’s head and then Sheamus ended the night with a Brogue Kick.
Another week of no League of Nations and New Day tease. Are they dropping this idea? Are they going to NOW move forward? As for Dolph Ziggler, I do not see a spot right now for him on the card, which is a damn shame. The guy always gets a reaction, always performs at a top level and is a guy that fans want to see. If anything, WWE needs a multi-man United States Championship match to get some of these guys on the card. It just seems as if WWE have so many talented guys with not much to do. I assume the Battle Royal can take place on the pre-show, along with a potential Brie vs. Lana match. The pre-show is an hour, so it is not out of the question.
