Isenberg Reacts: WWE FastLane “Thankfully…Next Stop, Dallas”

Roman Empire Is Alive

It was a really good Triple Threat Match that ended WWE FastLane. Brock Lesnar dominated early, not letting the double team attempts stop him from checking Roman and Dean into Suplex City. He would end up getting Powerbombed through two announce tables, which allowed Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose to focus on each other. When that action slowed down a little, Brock Lesnar took over again. Dean Ambrose went unhinged and then hit multiple chair shots to both men. When Brock spilled to the outside, Roman hit a Spear and picked up the victory.

I did think the ending was a little abrupt, as they still have at least another 5 minutes of action. The drama was never really there, but Brock did all he could to make this better than average. Was it excellent? No, but it delivered the result that was necessary and obvious. With rumors circulating that Brock Lesnar will NOT face Bray Wyatt (and how could he after his family lost to Kane, Big Show and Ryback), Dean Ambrose is his next target? Hmm… odd booking. Yes, it could be a Street Fight to even the odds, but a 275 pound Lesnar looks so much bigger and unbalanced over a 210 pound Dean Ambrose. WWE has pulled this off before, ala Punk/Lesnar, Michaels/Undertaker and others, but I just do not think Dean Ambrose is on that level right now. This could be a wasted opportunity for WWE or a blessing in disguise.
