Chris Jericho and AJ Styles could have easily had their encounter on Monday when everyone was watching. Instead, they hype it for Smackdown ON RAW. When was the last time we really had something like that? They are giving us a reason to want to tune in. (Yes, we knew he would eventually accept, but that is beside the point.) Chris Jericho and AJ Styles had the better of their two matches on Smackdown. They have elevated their feud on Smackdown. Whether you like it or not, WWE is giving time and more importance to Smackdown. Why? USA Network is more important to them than SyFy.
Also on Smackdown, Brock Lesnar took apart his two opponents at WWE Fastlane. After a solid tag team match, Brock Lesnar came out and did what he always does on RAW, but surrounded in blue over red. Lesnar was able to take Ambrose and Reigns to suplex city. Anotehr example of WWE really trying to make Smackdown important. Brock Lesnar has limited dates and they used this on a Thursday night. It made me want to tune in, so mission was accomplished. When you bring in big names and not focus on the mid-card guys to carry an entire show, it helps.
