Dean TV Takes Over Smackdown
Dean Ambrose interrupts The Miz and talks about his Last Man Standing Match on Sunday. He goes around the ring and onto the announce table to talk about how their rivalry started. Kevin Owens makes his way to the ring and says that he is obsessed with becoming champion and cannot wait to stand over Dean’s body on Sunday. Miz attacks Dean Ambrose, which allows Kevin Owens to come down the ramp. He hits a pop-up powerbomb onto the Miz and then he and Ambrose brawl. Ambrose with right hands to Owens and Owens rolls out of the ring. Ambrose gives The Miz Dirty Deeds.
This was one of my favorite segments from Dean Ambrose in quite some time. He was a little funny, but was more serious and lunatic. It was a nice blend when Owens came down and The Miz ended up being the punching bag like usual. Dean and Kevin have great and different personalities, which makes this to watch. Sunday could be THEIR night, stealing the show and making their IC Championship match one of the best in years.
Building Up Kalisto The Right Way
Kalisto is interviewed backstage and says he has fought Goliath’s his entire life. He has been the David and Sunday is no different. Alberto Del Rio comes in and The League of Nations attack. Sheamus hits a Brogue Kick for his buddy and Kalisto is left lying on the ground.
Even though I hated the idea of Kalisto dropping the title so quickly, they are continuing to keep him relevant and building him up the right way. They are giving him NO chance to beat Del Rio. They are letting his showcase his personality and his ability on the mic. The fans have sympathy for him because they KNOW how good he can and will ultimately be.
