Triple Threat Main Event
Kevin Owens, Dean Ambrose and Dolph Ziggler put on one hell of a Triple Threat Match for the Intercontinental Championship.
Ziggler and Ambrose brawl on the top rope. Owens puts Ziggler on his shoulders. Ziggler gets back on his feet and superkicks Ambrose. Owens superkicks Ziggler and Ambrose clotheslines Owens. Ambrose with a boot to Ziggler. Ziggler with a X-Factor to Ambrose off the top rope. Owens sends Ziggler to the outside. Owens goes to pin Ambrose, but Ambrose kicks out at two. Owens argues with referee. Owens with a clothesline to Ambrose. Ziggler comes from behind and applies a sleeper hold to Owens. Owens gets out of the hold with a running senton onto Ambrose. Owens sends Ziggler shoulder first to the ring post. Owens with a exploder suplex to Ambrose for a two count. Owens fallaway slams Ziggler to the barricade. Owens with right hands to Ambrose. Ambrose with a back elbow to Owens. Ambrose goes for the Dirty Deeds, but Ziggler counters with a Zig Zag that knocks both Owens and Ambrose down for a two count. Ziggler with a superkick to Owens. Ambrose with the Dirty Deeds to Ziggler to pickup the victory.
When you look at these performers, all of them can easily steal the show on a given night. They did tonight and I actually like how Smackdown is utilizing these guys as “Main Eventers of Smackdown.” It will never be Raw, but that might not be a bad thing when Smackdown moves to the USA Network in 2016. Ambrose was the favorite and I would have been shocked if he dropped the belt so soon. You have to run with the hot hands and all three of these guys are in the perfect spot right now. I can see all three men in the Royal Rumble and continue to feud with each other. It makes for entertaining mid-card feuds, something that WWE tends to lack heading into the busy months of the year (Mania Season)
