The League of Nations defeated The Uso’s
Another good tag team match, but much slower and more about the actual storyline brewing. Alberto Del Rio and Rusev represented their team against Jimmy and Jey. With chaos on the outside with Roman Reigns and Sheamus, Rusev kicks Jey and Del Rio with a double stomp for the three count.
After the match, Sheamus lines up a Brogue Kick but Roman Reigns sends him over the announce table. Reigns hits a few Superman Punches and Jey with a kick to Rusev as the heel retreat. Like I mentioned before, I like the aligned group of men, but Barrett is obviously the weakest one and not by his own doing.
Why isn’t he in the match? Haven’t we seen so much of Del Rio since his return? He is over-saturated already and is a guy that just needs to be less exposed. Barrett has more of a character, a cocky side to him that works. Either way, the heels win the battle but lose the war for the night. I can see a 6 man tag on Raw, though. I bet Barrett takes a seat on the sidelines. Sad state of affairs for him.
Neville and Titus O’Neil defeated The Ascension
In a random tag team pairing, Neville and Titus pick a pretty easy victory. Titus hits a big boot, which leads to Neville hitting Red Arrow. Nothing much to note in this match. I do wonder where Darren Young is. Is he hurt? Why is he at least not in the corner of his partner and Neville? It seems a little strange that there is not at least some sort of explanation.
