Things Get Personal Between Charlotte and Paige
I was surprised to see Raw end with a contract signing between Charlotte and Paige. It was in North Carolina, so there is that with the Flair name. Paige and Charlotte get personal, as Charlotte brings up when Paige was there when her little brother passed away. Furthermore, Charlotte says that her family is a group of fighters. Paige says that her little brother did not have much fight in him. This ensues a brawl between the women.
Charlotte attacks and they spill to the outside. She tosses Paige across the announce table and continue to brawl. Referees separate them and this ends Raw.
Once again, it was surprising to end the show with this, but the entire night was really well developed. You had four great matches with meaning, mixed with a few tag matches. You had a promo for Kane/Undertaker and The Wyatt Family. They took a chance and it delivered. Was it too personal to bring up the passing of Charlotte’s brother?
When you complain about the Attitude Era years and years ago and the PG product we are exposed do, do not whine about WWE taking a personal matter and making it part of the storyline. Obviously, Ric and Charlotte would have to approve this and they know they need to make it personal. Personal matters sell and many fans understand that. It felt controversial, which is something we rarely see these days. I am alright with it, even if it came off a tad desperate. Sometimes, WWE needs desperate attempts to make storylines evolve and become special. This was one of those night. It created buzz and certainly stirred up emotions. That is a job well done from WWE.
@JoshIsenberg4 I’m fine with it, Charlotte and her family obviously had to approve it. Someone on Charlotte’s end had to come up with it.

@JoshIsenberg4 I’m sure she had permission, got heat, mission accomplished

@JoshIsenberg4 it was unneeded and felt really forced and sick. But it did heat up the feud. Not sure what to think.
