The Debut of Tyler Breeze
The Lunatic Fringe took a nasty spill on a top-rope dropkick from Breeze, which gave the rookie plenty of time to work on his opponent. Breeze capitalized by throwing Ambrose shoulder-first into a few ring posts. Breeze continues the vicious attacks, but Dean rolled him up out of nowhere to pick up the win.
I enjoyed watching Tyler turn off his beauty and turn on his aggression. He is a smart wrestler and has plenty of potential with a really established character. He believes himself and believes in the gimmick that is given to him. This is a rarity to find with guys these days. The match was surprising to me because Breeze should NOT be in the tourney.
Why do you want him to lose in the first round? What is the point of this match for the progression of Breeze? He loses and now what? Can someone explain why Tyler Breeze was inserted into the tournament?
Where Was The New Day?
In this long tournament, you have champions and challengers. You have Owens and Del Rio. You also have 16 spots and not ONE of them belonged to The New Day. Yes, I understand that The New Day will feud with The Uso’s, but there is NO REASON why Big E or Xavier Woods was not included in the tournament. They are the most consistently entertaining act on television and need to continue to be used at a high-caliber level. If not, they will become another tag team.
Why? Another 6 man tag team match does nothing for them. They beat down guys like John Cena and yet they do not get involved? Stardust does? Neville does? Miz does? Seriously? Really?
