Open Challenge for the US Championship
John Cena vs. ?
Rumours have been flying around for weeks what is happening with John Cena after this PPV. All we know is, allegedly, John Cena will be taking time off after this PPV until the New Year. That would probably mean that someone has to defeat him for the Championship or needs to take him out so he cannot defend it in the near future. I like the idea that the mystery opponent is Samoa Joe. Joe could live up to the chants and take Cena out of the picture and this would give him a big push for the rest of the fall. It’ll be interesting to see what they do here but I’ll be doing my best impression of the Miz Girl if Cena manages to come out on top here.
Prediction: Whoever Cena faces will win the Championship.
WWE Championship
Seth Rollins vs. Kane
The fantasy world of booking which has surrounded the Rollins and Kane feud has been nothing short of ridiculous. We’ve had Rollins being dragged to ‘hell’ (whatever that actually means), we’ve had Kane transform after looked like he boiled a kettle inside an ambulance and we’ve had Kane regenerate like the Wolverine by simply stomping his feet. I don’t see Kane coming out on top of this match and the stipulation also states that he’ll lose his job as the Director of Operations. I can see Kane staying with the mask after this feud on the roster and periodically making legend appearances from now on.
