Cesaro vs. Sheamus
Physicality. Intensity. Cesaro and Sheamus do battle on Smackdown in a long and really physical bout. WWE gave these guys time and that is what I love to see. The latter parts of the match saw a few big boots from Cesaro and then Sheamus hitting a high knee and then a backbreaker. He locks in the Cloverleaf, trying to get Cesaro to tap out.
Cesaro is able to reverse it and then lock in the crossface. The referee backs Cesaro from the corner, as he unloads with kicks and knees. Sheamus takes advantage and hits a Brogue Kick for the win.
Another big win for Mr. Money in the Bank. Alas, Mr. Money in the Bank is being built like a champion. Bash Sheamus all you want, but he is a physical and believable guy to become world champion once again. Yes, I wanted Cesaro to pick up the win here. Is he being booked like Ziggler now? I hope he gets something very important soon, but I know that there are other guys that are being booked better creatively. Cesaro deserves better, but don’t discount how good Sheamus actually is as a heel right now.
MizTV with Summer, Dolph and Lana
MizTV talks about Dolph Ziggler being in the middle of Lana and Summer Rae. Summer does a great job at making herself feel vulnerable. She then shows a clip from a year ago, where Ziggler kissed Summer in front of Fandango. Summer continues to egg Lana on and then she attacks. Dolph Ziggler chases down an upset Lana, while Summer calls her a b*tch.
I am not sure where this is headed, but I am still intrigued. I am interested to see how they continue to add layers to this feud. Nice job by WWE finding an old clip and using it to further a feud that could really use as much history as possible. I also enjoyed the fact that Rusev was not there. He does not need to be there EVERY week and EVERY time Summer talks. This is more about the women and Dolph now.
