WWE Intercontinental Championship Elimination Chamber Match
King Barrett and Dolph Ziggler kick things off in the match. Barrett works his neck and slows the pace down. Ziggler hits a neckbreaker, but Barrett kicks him in the stomach. Barrett throws Dolph into the cage and the third man in the match is R-Truth. King Barrett attacks him in the pod before he can get out. He throws Truth into the cage and continues the assault.
R-Truth is able to get some offense in, including some kicks and a splash into the corner. Barrett hits a Winds of Change for a two count and then kicks Dolph twice in the jaw. Barrett breaks the chamber with Dolph Ziggler, opening up Mark Henry’s pod. Henry is officially in and no eliminations yet.
Ryback and Mark Henry pick up the intensity. Henry hits a boot, but Ryback runs him over. Ryback hits a clothesline and spinebuster to Barrett for two. Henry breaks up a count and then yells at Barrett. Dolph kicks Barrett, while Ryback throws him into the corner and Truth eliminates Barrett with the Lie Detector. Henry and Truth battle, while Dolph and Ryback fight. As Sheamus’ door does not open, all the men try to roll up the other. Ryback eliminates Truth with Shell Shock.
Sheamus had the door locked intentionally, getting in the ring with three guys who are down and out. He throws Dolph into the chamber and it breaks. Mark Henry gets eliminated by Sheamus. Sheamus and Dolph ignite their feud, as Sheamus hits a few suplexes and then some chops to the show-off. Ryback gets into the ring and gets superkicked by Dolph. Dolph hits a Fameasser, but Sheamus knocks him out with a Brogue Kick.
Ryback unloads onto Sheamus. After multiple moves, Sheamus rolls to the outside and tries to grab his chain. He hits a White Noise on the steel and drags him into the ring. Ryback barely kicks out. Sheamus hits a rolling senton on the steel. Ryback catches Sheamus and hits a powerbomb in the ring. Ryback hits Shell Shock and wins the IC title.
Ryback picks up the win in this forgettable match for the Intercontinental Championship. I said everything you need to know on Chair Shot Reality. Who needed the championship to solidify himself? Ryback cannot do much more aside from winning a championship.
The match itself just felt… odd. The pace was off, the timing was off. I am happy Ryback picked up the win. He has come leaps and bounds over the past year and deserves an opportunity like this.
