The Problem with Ryback vs. Bray Wyatt
A victory against Luke Harper was not the story I cared about on Smackdown. Bray Wyatt attacks Ryback once again and really begins to develop this feud. It is very different and fresh, I will give them that. I have a concern, as many fans should. Bray Wyatt has to come out on top, right?
The hardcore fans love Wyatt, so there is a chance that Ryback gets booed. That is NOT what WWE wants to do right now with him. Also, Ryback is known for losing matches on big PPV’s. Bray Wyatt is known for losing match on big PPV’s. Why would WWE stick these two guys together, when both of them need to stack win after win on their resume? I like the new feud, but think it has the wrong timing.
WWE Tag Team Championship
Tyson Kidd whips Kofi and Cesaro connects with an Uppercut. He follows with a gutwrench slam for two. Kofi fires back with a jawbreaker, only to get a stalling suplex from Cesaro. They spill to the outside and Big E tackles him into the barricade.
Big E punches Cesaro off the apron and suplexes Kidd tags Cesaro and he gets his physical offense going. Big E gets into the ring and splashes Cesaro for two. Tyson Kidd flies to the outside, while Cesaro runs back in and slams Big E with a body slam. He sets up the Cesaro swing and Kidd connects with the dropkick. Xavier Woods and Kofi attack and leave. The match ends in a disqualification.
A very interesting ending to the match and I really enjoyed these two segments. As much as I hate The New Day, they are working great as heels. We wanted this to happen months ago when they first started booing. Xavier Woods needs to be used in the ring. That is my biggest issue, but they have an original and natural heel feel to them. They do not get any cheers and fans legit hate them.
As for Cesaro and Kidd, I can see them winning the belts back and this feud going back and forth with some title swaps. If booked for the long-term, and not for 1-2 months, this could make for some interesting developments in a very shallow pool of tag team talent.
